Abstract
The ability to speak in public spaces is an important skill that students must possess, especially for those oriented towards the teaching profession. In the context of learning, teachers act as primary communicators who must be able to convey information clearly, convincingly, and engagingly. However, the facts show that prospective teacher students still face various obstacles in public communication, especially when conducting academic presentations based on digital technology. This study aims to identify obstacles in public communication for prospective teacher students and offer strategic solutions that can be applied in the digital era. The research method used a qualitative approach with observation and interview techniques with students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Mataram. The results showed seven categories of obstacles: linguistic, psychological, technical, environmental, gerak tubuh, mastery of material, and use of visual aids. Based on these findings, the solution strategies offered include digital-based public communication training, strengthening self-confidence, improving technical skills, managing the presentation environment, gerak tubuh training, strengthening material mastery, and optimizing the design of interactive visual aids. These strategies are expected to improve the effectiveness of students' public communication, while preparing them to become competent professional teachers in the digital era
