As one of the traditional literary works, folklore is often the first oral or written literature introduced by parents to their children, especially on the island of Lombok. In fact, not all folklore is appropriate or suitable for children's ages. This study aims to examine the suitability of Sasak folklore as children's literary literacy material. This study uses a qualitative approach that is descriptive in nature. The research data amounted to eight Sasak folklores sourced from documented writings and interview results. There are three aspects of consideration of Sasak folklore that are not suitable for use as children's literary literacy material, the three aspects of consideration are related to the inconsistency of characterization, main conflict, and main theme. In general, not all Sasak folklore is suitable as children's literary literacy material.
