Abstract

Capital market investors need additional information both from financial reports and outside financial reports. One piece of information that requires more effort to obtain and is not presented by securities companies is information regarding the level of the company's financial difficulties or what is more popularly called financial distress. Financial distress is an early indication of bankruptcy that the company will experience. Companies in financial distress tend to experience difficulties in paying off their obligations, even short-term obligations. This research aims to map the company's potential financial distress before it is exposed to the notation X or Equity Securities under Special Monitoring. The Zmijewskri x score model and ohlson o score model will be using in this research. The research uses descriptive analysis methods to describe the findings. Companies affected by the notation X will be mapped based on 2 financial distress measuring instruments. Based on the findings, it was found that companies that received the letter X notation did not necessarily experience financial distress or financial difficulties before obtaining a special notation from the IDX. There are 125 companies affected by Equity Securities under Special Monitoring. The X-Score model results show that as many as 44.80% of companies, or 56 companies, have the potential to experience bankruptcy. Meanwhile, the O-Score results show that as many as 33 companies, or 26.40% of companies, have the potential to experience bankruptcy
