Abstract

Handling organic waste is an important issue that needs to be considered in efforts to maintain environmental sustainability and reduce negative impacts due to accumulated waste. In Pakisjajar Village, the issue of organic waste management is a major concern because of the great potential for converting waste into useful resources, such as organic compost fertilizer. The aim of this activity is to: 1) increase public awareness about the importance of processing organic waste, 2) provide practical skills in processing waste into organic compost, 3) provide insight into how to maintain and use compost. The methods of this service activity are 1) program planning activities, 2) program counseling, 3) implementation or implementation activities, 4) mentoring. This activity succeeded in gathering the people of Pakisjajar Village to enthusiastically take part in all these community service activities. The result of this activity is to increase residents' knowledge regarding the management and processing of organic waste in their environment.
