Pelatihan Pembuatan Pupuk Kompos Dari Sampah Organik Rumah Tangga di Desa Benete, Kecamatan Maluk, Kabupaten Sumbawa Barat

Abstract

The problem of waste, including household waste, is a big issue that never ends. Household organic waste that is not properly managed can pollute the environment and endanger health. The management of household organic waste in Benete Village, Maluk District, West Sumbawa Regency has not been optimal, mainly due to the lack of community knowledge. Therefore, it was necessary to hold an organic waste management training, namely the manufacture of compost from household waste. This activity assisted the community in maintaining the quality of the environment and managing organic waste into compost. The implementation of this community service was carried out through two stages, namely preparations which include problem identification and technical and equipment preparation, and the implementation stages which include the delivery of materials, questions and answers, and demonstrations of compost fertilizer making. The result of this activity is the addition of knowledge and skills of the people of Benete Village in processing household organic waste which is more beneficial for them.
