Pelatihan Literasi Digital bagi Jurnalis di Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai

Abstract

This community service activity is entitled Digital Literacy Training for Journalists in Serdang Bedagai Regency. The service partner Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Serdang Bedagai (Communication and Informatics Service) by involving 40 cyber media journalists. The activity was carried out on August 9, 2022. Lack of awareness and understanding of the importance of accelerating or increasing digital competence among target partners is the driving force for the implementation of this service. Journalists' digital literacy skills cover various aspects related to the field of work of journalists to be able to adapt to digital changes. The participants received various training materials, namely the use of hardware and software, data and information literacy (covering the ability to browse and search for information, filtration of the data, information, and content), digital content production (integration and elaboration), and build engagement with audiences. Service activities are expected to increase the knowledge and competence of journalists, especially in media digitalization literacy.
